Cedar Waxwings are a beautiful part of the North Atlantic bird community. This small pillow was made for and appeared in the Forest issue of Making Magazine.
Wool strip hooked on linen foundation, hand hooked, loop by loop. Hand dyed and textured wools. Hooked loops, chain stitch, French knots, and more as embellishments.
Finished into an accent pillow with Maine balsam interior.
