Maine Hit or Miss - 16" x 24" - hooked art - as seen in Heritage Skills for Contemporary Life

This art piece hearkens back to the heritage tradition of the hit or miss hooked rug while incorporating botanical themes from the North Atlantic forest. 

Wool strip hooked on linen foundation, hand hooked, loop by loop. Hand dyed and textured wools. 

Finished with wool yarn, sourced from Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village in New Gloucester, Maine, whip stitching.
