Maine Winter Sunset - 16" x 24" - hooked art

This landscape was inspired by an actual sunset at my home in Paris, Maine. As I was stumbling through the snow to go feed my chickens, I was stopped in my tracks by a sky afire. This is my interpretation of that moment.

Wool strip, yarns, silk, and more on linen foundation with wool applique and fly stitching on the distant treeline. 

Hanging sleeve with dowel on the reverse side.
